Credits
What credits are, how much each action costs, when your allowance resets, and how to buy more.
Credits are what pay for the AI work behind your content: writing an article, drawing a cover, or redrafting a social post all spend credits. Your subscription gives you a monthly allowance, and you can top up with a one-time pack if you need more before it resets.

The first cover on a new article is always free — see Cover images. Every other cover regeneration, and every social post regeneration, is billed as a separate action from the article itself.
Your monthly allowance
How many credits you get every billing month depends on your plan term:

Your balance card on this page shows a usage bar ("N of M used") and the date it resets — your billing date, the same date your subscription renews.
What's spent first
Clodix spends your monthly allowance before anything else. Only once that's used up does it draw from credits you've bought in a pack. This matters for expiry:
- Allowance credits expire at the end of each billing month — they don't carry over.
- Purchased pack credits don't expire, as long as your subscription stays active.
Running low or out
When your balance drops to 2,000 credits (about two articles' worth), you get a "You're running low on Clodix credits" email — see Emails we send you. If your balance hits zero:
- Autopilot pauses — no new articles are queued until you top up or your allowance resets.
- You get an "Out of credits — article generation is paused" email.
- Generating an article manually from the calendar or New article fails with "Not enough credits (need N, have M)" instead of starting.
Buy a credit pack
Packs are a one-time top-up, bought on this page with Buy pack. They require an active subscription — there's no way to buy credits on their own.

FAQ
Can I see a history of what my credits were spent on?
Not yet — the Credits page shows your current balance and usage bar, but not a line-by-line history. If you need to understand a specific charge, contact support.
I was charged credits but don't see an article. What happened?
An article is charged before its first step starts. If the job later fails for good, the charge is refunded automatically — check your balance again after a few minutes. If it still looks wrong, see An article failed or contact support.
Do I need credits to connect a site or run Site Insights and Site Health?
No. Setting up a site, and running Site Insights or Site Health checks, cost nothing — only article, cover and social post generation spend credits.
