Publishing integrations
Website builders (HTML widget)
Add the HTML widget to Webflow, Squarespace, Framer, GoDaddy, Weebly, BigCommerce, Duda, Drupal, Joomla or Blogger to show your articles.
If your site builder doesn't give Clodix a way to publish directly — Webflow, Squarespace, Framer, GoDaddy, Weebly, BigCommerce, Duda, Drupal, Joomla and Blogger all work this way — Clodix gives you one small snippet of code instead. Paste it once on the page where you want your blog, and it shows your published articles automatically, including a full article view when a visitor clicks one.
Get your code
- Open Settings → Publishing integrations and click your platform's tile (or HTML widget for any other site).
- Copy the snippet shown.
Where to paste it
| Platform | Where |
|---|---|
| Webflow | In the Designer, add a Code Embed element to the page, paste the snippet, click Save & Close, then publish your site. |
| Squarespace | On the page where your blog should appear, add a Code Block and paste the snippet. |
| Framer | Add an Embed (HTML) layer to the page, paste the snippet, then publish. |
| GoDaddy | In GoDaddy Website Builder, add an HTML section and paste the snippet, then publish. |
| Weebly | Drag an Embed Code element onto the page, click Edit Custom HTML, and paste the snippet. |
| BigCommerce | In Page Builder, add an HTML widget (or use Script Manager) and paste the snippet. |
| Duda | In the Duda editor, drag an HTML widget onto the page and paste the snippet. |
| Drupal | Add a Custom Block with the Full HTML text format, paste the snippet, and place it on the page. |
| Joomla | Add a Custom HTML module to the page, paste the snippet, and save. |
| Blogger | Go to Layout → Add a Gadget → HTML/JavaScript, paste the snippet, and save. |
| Any other site | Paste the snippet just before </body> anywhere on the page. |
Any site with a plain <div id="clodix-articles"></div> and the script tag after it works the same way, even outside a named builder.
- Back in Clodix, click I've added the code.
After you connect
- A Page where you added the widget field lets Clodix link directly to each article's live URL from inside the app — optional, but useful.
- Click View live to open your site and confirm the widget shows your articles.
- New and edited articles appear in the widget automatically — there's nothing to republish. Clodix caches the widget's script for up to 5 minutes, so a brand-new article can take a few minutes to show up the first time.
The widget looks empty inside the builder's own editor
This is expected. Many site builders (Wix, GoDaddy, Squarespace and others) render pasted code inside a sandboxed preview while you're editing, which the widget can't always fill in. Open your published site (not the builder's edit view) to see your articles — that's where the widget actually runs.
FAQ
Is this good for SEO?
It's better than nothing, but it's not as strong as a real post. The widget adds your article to the page with JavaScript after the page loads, so some search engines and most link-preview tools see an empty page on first load. If your platform supports direct publishing (WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Ghost or HubSpot), use that instead — see Connect your website for the comparison.
Can I style the widget to match my site?
The widget inherits your page's fonts automatically, and picks a readable text color based on what's behind it (or you can set data-theme="light" / data-theme="dark" yourself). There's no deeper styling control beyond that today.
Do I need to re-paste the code when a new article is published?
No. Paste the snippet once — every new or edited article appears automatically within a few minutes, with no further action from you.
Can I add the widget to more than one page?
Yes — paste the same snippet on as many pages as you like; each one will load the same list of articles.
