Keywords
The Keywords screen — volume, difficulty, statuses, scheduling and your own additions.
Keywords is your site's research library — every search term Clodix found opportunity in, with its demand, difficulty and how it's being used in your content plan. It's built during setup and grows as you schedule topics, add your own keywords, or re-run research.

The table
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Keyword | The search term. |
| Volume / mo | Estimated monthly searches for that term. |
| Difficulty | How hard it is to rank for, roughly 0–100 — shown in green, amber or red by band. |
| Your position | Where your site currently ranks for it. Shows "—" until Google Search Console is connected and has synced. |
| Status | In plan — already scheduled or written as an article. Opportunity — not covered yet. |
The rightmost column is the action for that row: a Scheduled · \<date\> tag once you've just scheduled it, Covered when it's already in your plan (nothing to do), or an Add to Calendar button for anything still open.
Schedule a keyword
- Click Add to Calendar on any row marked Opportunity.
- Review the keyword in the modal — Clodix plans one article per keyword, so a keyword already covered can't be scheduled twice.
- Click Schedule. It's placed on the next free upcoming day in your calendar; the writer picks it up in turn.
Add your own keyword
Click Add keyword at the top of the screen, type a term, and press Add keyword (or Enter). It's added to the library with its own volume and difficulty where we have data for it, ready to schedule like any other row.
The rest of your library
Rows are sorted with open opportunities first.
Re-run research
If setup finished but the library came back empty, a Re-run research button appears — it runs keyword research again over your existing brand profile without touching your content plan. Research is rate-limited to a few runs an hour to keep it from being pressed on a loop.
Where volume and difficulty come from
Volume and difficulty come from live search data where it's available for your language and market. Where it isn't — some languages, including Russian, aren't covered by our data partner yet — Clodix shows an AI-based estimate instead, so the field is never left blank. Either way the number is meant to guide which opportunities are worth writing about, not to be read as an exact traffic promise.
Your position is different: it always needs Search Console connected and synced. Before that, every row shows "—" rather than a guess.
Empty state
"No keywords yet" with a Re-run research button — this means setup finished but research came back without results for your niche.
FAQ
What does "In plan" mean versus "Opportunity"?
"In plan" means the keyword already has an article scheduled or written for it. "Opportunity" means it's open — nothing has been planned for it yet, and you can add it to the calendar.
Can two articles target the same keyword?
No — Clodix plans one article per keyword. Once a keyword is scheduled, its status becomes "In plan" and it can't be scheduled a second time.
Why does a keyword show "—" for volume or difficulty?
That keyword's market or language isn't covered by live search data, and no AI estimate was produced for it either. It can still be scheduled and written — the dash just means we have no number to show.
I added a keyword myself — why is "Your position" still "—"?
Position always comes from Google Search Console, regardless of how the keyword was added. Connect it on the Search Console page if you haven't yet.
