Troubleshooting
Billing and credits problems
Billing and credit problems by symptom — charged without a subscription, failed payment, out of credits, unexpected charges, cancelling and refunds.
Find what you're seeing below. Most billing questions can be solved yourself in Settings → Plan.
"I was charged, but I can't see my subscription"
Your subscription is attached to the email address you paid with. If you sign in with a different address — including a different Google account, or googlemail.com instead of gmail.com — Clodix shows Subscription not found.
- Look at the receipt you got from checkout and sign in with that exact address.
- If you never set a password, use Email me a sign-in link on the login page.
- Still nothing? Write to support@clodix.ai with the email on the receipt, the date and the amount of the charge.
More detail in Can't sign in.
"My payment failed"
A failed renewal pauses your autopilot but doesn't cancel the subscription. Sign in and click Update payment method — it opens the billing portal, where you can fix your card. Once it's fixed, everything picks up where it left off. See Manage your subscription.
"I ran out of credits"
When your balance hits zero, autopilot pauses and generating an article shows "Not enough credits (need N, have M)". You have two options:
- Wait for your monthly allowance to renew on your billing date.
- Buy a one-time pack on the Credits page, starting at $7 for 5,000 credits. Pack credits don't expire while your subscription is active.
An article costs 1,000 credits, a cover regeneration 200 and a social post regeneration 50. Full list and rules in Credits.
"Credits were used, but I don't see an article"
An article is charged before its first step starts. If it fails for good after Clodix's automatic retries, the charge is refunded to your balance — wait a few minutes and check again. You never need to ask for this one. If your balance still looks wrong, write to support@clodix.ai with the topic of the article and roughly when you started it. See also An article failed.
"Where can I see what my credits were spent on?"
The Credits page shows your balance and usage bar but not a line-by-line history yet. If you need to understand a particular charge, write to support@clodix.ai.
"I'm still being charged for a website I disconnected"
Disconnecting a website removes it from Clodix, but it does not stop its billing. Each extra site is its own subscription. Open Settings → Plan → Manage and cancel that specific subscription in the billing portal. See Add more websites.
"I was charged for a renewal I didn't expect"
Check the date and amount under Settings → Plan first. If something still looks wrong, write to support@clodix.ai before disputing the charge with your bank — it's usually faster.
"I want to cancel"
Open Settings → Plan and click Cancel subscription. Nothing changes today — you keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for, and it won't renew after that. Changed your mind? Resume subscription undoes it any time before the period ends. Your published articles stay on your site. See Cancel your subscription.
To cancel just an extra site's subscription, use Settings → Plan → Manage.
"I want a refund"
Email info@clodix.ai with the subject Refund request, the email address on your account, your invoice number (or the date and amount of the charge) and a short reason. The conditions are in our refund policy.
Cancelling and refunding are separate — cancelling only stops future renewals.
"I want to downgrade or switch to a different term"
The in-app button only moves Monthly to Yearly. There's no one-click downgrade, and no switch to Quarterly. To change term otherwise, cancel your current plan (you keep access until the period ends) and subscribe again at the term you want from the pricing page, or write to support@clodix.ai and we'll walk you through it. See Manage your subscription.
"Where are my invoices?"
In the billing portal: Settings → Plan → Manage. Settings shows only your current period and amount.
"I need my company name or VAT number on the invoice"
Checkout is a normal card payment (Google Pay and Apple Pay work too), and the invoice is emailed to you after you pay. Once you're signed in, open Settings → Plan → Manage: the billing portal lets you update your billing details (name, address, tax information) and download invoices. If an invoice still doesn't carry the details you need, write to support@clodix.ai with your account email and what should appear on it.
"I want to add a second website"
Each extra website is its own subscription at your plan's price. Click Add more websites in the sidebar. See Add more websites.
"I want to delete my account" or stop the emails
Deleting an account isn't available in the app yet — write to support@clodix.ai and we'll take care of it. To stop marketing emails, use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of them; service emails (receipts, "your article is ready", password changes) always keep coming. See Emails we send you.
