Getting started
Set up your site
Every step of the setup wizard, the waiting screen, and what happens right after your plan is ready.
Setup is a five-step wizard that runs once per site, right after you create your account (or whenever you pick up a setup you left unfinished). It ends with a month-long content plan built from your own site and real keyword data.
Step 1 — What's your website?
Type your Website URL and click Analyze my site.
- No account or login is needed on your side — Clodix reads only what's public.
- Your address is checked for reachability before anything else runs; a dead or mistyped domain is rejected immediately with a clear reason (see Setup didn't finish).
- I don't have a website opens an explainer instead of skipping the step: Clodix needs somewhere of your own to publish to, so there's no "describe your business manually" shortcut. Get a site live, then come back and enter its address.
Step 2 — Tell us about your brand
Brand name and What you do — both optional. Clodix reads your site either way; a sentence here sharpens the plan when your site's copy is thin.
Step 3 — Content language
A searchable grid of languages. It's prefilled from what your site itself declares, but pick whichever language you actually want your articles written and published in — you can add more languages to your plan later from any plan.
Step 4 — Image style
Choose Clean & Minimal, Photorealistic, Watercolor, or 3D Render. This style applies to every future article cover; change it any time from Brand DNA.
Step 5 — Should Clodix write on its own?
- Yes — write on its own: one article every morning from your plan.
- No — I'll start each one: nothing is written until you click a topic.
Neither option is preselected, so Create my plan stays disabled until you choose. You can flip this any time afterwards in Brand DNA → Autopilot.
While your plan builds
A progress bar and a checklist track four stages: reading your site, understanding your brand, researching keywords, and building your 14-day plan (with a "topic cluster N of M" counter on the last one). This takes a few minutes; you can leave the page and come back — it keeps running.
It ends one of three ways:
- Success — "Your plan is ready." With autopilot on, the first article is already being written; click Watch it being written to open the calendar. With autopilot off, click Write my first article to start it yourself, or Skip for now.
- Failure — "Something went wrong," with the reason and a Try again button. See Setup didn't finish for what the messages mean.
- Timeout — after about 15 minutes you get Go to dashboard: the plan keeps building in the background and shows up once it's done.
Setup itself never spends credits.
What happens right after
Your plan lands on the Calendar: about 22 topics, the first 14 days booked solid, then every other day. From here:
- Articles get written on their scheduled day (or on demand).
- Brand DNA holds everything Clodix learned, for you to review and tighten.
- A site that's already finished setup and opens this page again is sent straight to the dashboard — the wizard only runs once per site.
FAQ
Can I change the language or image style after setup?
Yes — both live in Brand DNA and apply to everything written from then on. Changing the language also offers a paid rebuild of your keywords and plan.
Setup got my niche or brand wrong — can I fix it?
Edit the individual fields in Brand DNA, or use Re-analyze site there to crawl your site again from scratch.
Does setup cost any credits?
No. Setup — crawling, Brand DNA, keyword research and the plan — is free on every plan.
