Publishing integrations
Connect your website
How publishing integrations work in Clodix — direct publishing, embed widgets and feeds — and how to connect, manage or switch one.
Clodix needs somewhere to put your articles. Connect your site once in Settings → Publishing integrations, and every article Clodix finishes goes there automatically.

Three ways to publish
Not every platform gives us the same kind of access, so Clodix supports three ways of getting your articles live. Pick the platform that matches your site — the table below shows exactly which kind each one is.
| Kind | How it works | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Direct publishing | Clodix pushes each article straight into your site through its API — a real post, in your own CMS. | WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Ghost, HubSpot and similar platforms with a content API. | The strongest option for SEO: the article is a normal page your site and Google already know how to handle. |
| Embed widget | You paste one snippet of code on a page. The snippet loads your published articles into that page in the visitor's browser. | Website builders with no content API (Webflow, Squarespace, Framer, GoDaddy, Weebly, BigCommerce, Duda, Drupal, Joomla, Blogger). | Nothing to push, but the content is added by a script after the page loads, not built into the page itself — a weaker SEO signal than a real post. For the best SEO results, copying articles into your own blog is even better. |
| RSS feed | Clodix gives you one feed URL with every published article. | Readers, automations (Zapier, Make) or a CMS that imports RSS. | Nothing renders on your site by itself — you (or a tool) decide what to do with the feed. |
All platforms
| Platform | Kind | Updates a live post in place? | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress | Direct publishing | Yes | WordPress |
| Shopify | Direct publishing | Yes | Shopify |
| Wix | Direct publishing | No — unpublish moves the post to trash instead | Wix |
| Ghost | Direct publishing | Yes | Ghost |
| HubSpot | Direct publishing | Yes | HubSpot |
| Webflow, Squarespace, Framer, GoDaddy, Weebly, BigCommerce, Duda, Drupal, Joomla, Blogger | Embed widget | The widget always shows your latest articles | Website builders (HTML widget) |
| RSS Feed | Feed | The feed always lists your latest articles | RSS feed |
| Next.js / custom sites | Webhook (direct push) | No — each publish sends a fresh event; your endpoint decides what to do with it | Next.js and custom sites (webhook) |
| FTP / SFTP / static sites | Direct publishing (file upload) | Yes — re-publishing overwrites the same file | FTP, SFTP and static sites |

Connect a platform
- Open Settings → Publishing integrations.
- Click a platform tile. The ten most-requested platforms show first; click More integrations to see the rest.
- Fill in the fields the tile asks for (an API key, an application password, a URL — see each platform's own page for exactly where to find them).
- Click the connect button.
Clodix checks your credentials against the platform live, before saving anything — if the form accepts them, the connection works. Credentials are stored encrypted and never sent to your browser again.
One platform at a time
A site can only publish directly through one platform. Connecting a new one disconnects and replaces whichever was connected before — there's no way to have WordPress and Shopify both live for the same site. If you need to switch, just connect the new platform; the old one is removed automatically.
Manage a connected platform
Click Manage next to a connected platform (or open Settings → Publishing integrations → [platform]) to see:
- Active or Not active status.
- Your embed code or feed URL, with a one-click Copy.
- A live preview of how your article list will look, for widget and feed platforms.
- Disconnect — removes the connection. You'll need to reconnect from scratch to use it again.
Don't see your platform?
Click the Other platform tile and tell us what your site runs on. We follow up personally — usually within one business day — to tell you the best way to publish there. In the meantime nothing is on hold: your articles keep being written on schedule, and you can always open an article and use Copy with formatting in its Export box to paste it into your site's own blog editor by hand.
FAQ
Why can I only connect one publishing platform?
Clodix publishes each article to exactly one place so there's never a question of which copy is the "real" one. If you move your blog to a different platform, just connect the new one — it replaces the old connection automatically.
Is my password or API key safe?
Yes. Credentials are encrypted before they're stored and are never sent back to your browser. Clodix only uses them on the server, to publish and manage your articles.
Can I switch platforms later without losing my articles?
Yes. Your articles stay in Clodix either way. Switching platforms only changes where new publishes — and future edits to already-published articles — go. It doesn't delete anything you've already written.
What happens to articles already published if I disconnect?
Disconnecting stops Clodix from publishing or updating new articles there. Posts already live on your site stay exactly as they are — Clodix doesn't remove anything from your site.
