Getting started
Your first-week checklist
The dashboard's getting-started checklist, plus what else is worth doing in your first week with Clodix.
Your dashboard tracks setup with a small checklist — it disappears once every item is done. Beyond it, a handful of other things pay off if you do them early.
The dashboard checklist
Find this on Home, as a ring showing the percentage done:
- Finish onboarding — already ticked the moment you have a site.
- Generate first article — write (or let autopilot write) your first piece, so you can see how Clodix sounds. → Generate an article
- Connect your website — the step that lets articles publish themselves instead of sitting as drafts. → Connect your website
- Publish first article — put that first piece live. → Publish an article
- Connect Bing Webmaster Tools — free, two minutes; Bing indexes you sooner and feeds Copilot and ChatGPT search. → Connect Bing Webmaster Tools
Each item clears itself based on what you actually do in the app — there's nothing to tick by hand.
The rest of the first week
Once the basics are moving, these are worth ten minutes each:
- Tighten your Brand DNA guard rails — service area, topics to avoid, tone of voice — before more articles pile up on whatever Clodix assumed. → Brand DNA overview
- Decide on your autopilot cadence — how often, and whether weekends are skipped. → Autopilot
- Connect Google Search Console — it feeds real numbers into Analytics and unlocks rebuilding your plan from actual search data. → Connect Google Search Console
- Run Site Insights' checks — page speed, worldwide reachability and technical SEO, all free. → Site Insights
- Open the Site Health roadmap — a step-by-step path to a site Google and AI assistants can find. → Site Health
- Read your first article's SEO score — see what Clodix's own checks are grading you on. → SEO score and originality
FAQ
Does the getting-started checklist ever go away?
Yes — once all five items are done, the whole card disappears from your dashboard.
Do I have to do these in order?
No. Generating, connecting your site and publishing can happen in any order; the checklist just tracks what's left.
